Austin Training

Hello,
I am trying to find information on getting the best training and certification possible in the Austin Texas area. I am very close to completing a B.A. in Literature with Technical Communications as a secondary field, but I have had an extremely difficult time finding certification programs for Desktop Publishing as well as beginner training on programs like Framemaker. I have almost completed my B.A. and have even spoken to the Adobe design group. I still don't even know what 'Desktop Publishing' falls under as a Major or vocational degree. The Tech Com secondary has been great for stylistic and organization training in writing, but not for learning software. Can I find training on these applications under a specific major (so that my job can help reimburse me) or what are some good recommendations on learning the various softwares by themselves? Any help is greatly appreciated, but please remember I live in the Austin Texas area when submitting.
